2. On January 6, 2021, he went to the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C., USA. That day, Donald Trumpsupporters breached the building while a joint session of Congress was certifying the vote of the Electoral College and affirming Joe Biden‘s victory in the 2020 presidential election.
3. On January 8, 2021, Federal Bureau of Investigation agents interviewed him at his residence in Gladstone Park. He acknowledged that he was in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021 but he was evasive about whether he entered the U.S. Capitol building. He told the agents he would upload videos taken at the U.S. Capitol.
4. On January 9, 2021, an FBI agent received an email from an email address that included his first and last names. The email stated, “Hello Nice FBI Lady, Here are the links to the videos. Looks like Podium Guy is in one of them, less the podium. Let me know if you need anything else. Kevin Lyons.” 
5. On January 12, 2021, U.S. Magistrate Judge G. Michael Harvey signed a criminal complained filed by an FBI special agent against him.
6. On January 13, 2021, FBI agents arrested him in Illinois.
7. On January 19, 2021, he made his initial appearance in court. 
8. On June 9, 2021, a superseding indictment was issued. For his participation in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, he was charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building; entering and remaining in certain rooms in the U.S. Capitol building; disorderly conduct in a U.S. Capitol building; disorderly conduct in a restricted building; demonstrating in the U.S. Capitol and obstructing an official proceeding. On August 9, 2021, he pleaded not guilty to all counts. 
9. He was 40 years old when he was convicted him of six federal charges on April 7, 2023 for entering the U.S. Capitol and Nancy Pelosi‘s office on January 6, 2021. 
10. On July 14, 2023, he will be sentenced.
